How to Get Tax Documents From Robinhood: 1099s and TurboTax Import

To get your tax documents from Robinhood, open the app or website and go to the Tax Center under your account menu, where your Consolidated 1099 becomes available as a downloadable PDF each year. For the 2025 tax year, Robinhood is scheduled to release the Consolidated 1099 on February 17, 2026.1Robinhood. Taxes and Forms From there, you can save the PDF, print it, or import the data straight into your tax software.

Where to Find Your Forms in the App or Website

The path is the same whether you’re on your phone or a laptop:

  • Open Robinhood and tap the Account icon. In the app, open the Menu (three horizontal bars).
  • Go to Tax Center.
  • Select the form you want to review or download.

What Robinhood Sends You

Most of your reporting is bundled into one Consolidated 1099 PDF issued by Robinhood Markets, Inc. It covers Robinhood Securities, Robinhood Crypto, Robinhood Derivatives, and Robinhood Money, depending on which products you used.3Robinhood. Retirement Account Forms Come Separately

If you have a Robinhood IRA, those forms are not part of the Consolidated 1099 PDF.3Robinhood. How to Read Your 1099 Distributions and Roth conversions generate a separate Form 1099-R. Converting from a Traditional IRA to a Roth triggers a 1099-R for the amount that leaves the Traditional account.7Robinhood. When You Won’t Get a 1099

Robinhood won’t issue you a Form 1099 if all three of these are true: you received less than $10 in dividends or interest, you didn’t sell any stocks, crypto, ETFs, or options, and you received less than $600 in miscellaneous income. You also won’t receive one if you certified as a non-U.S. resident on Form W-8BEN or are a resident of Puerto Rico.2Robinhood. When Each Form Is Available

The Consolidated 1099 for the 2025 tax year, which includes Forms 1099-B, 1099-DA, and Section 1256 information, is scheduled for release on February 17, 2026.1Robinhood. Robinhood may release a corrected version of your 1099 after the initial one goes out. Common triggers are income reclassification by a company, cost basis updates that come in after year-end, and changes to your personal information.2Robinhood. Tax Documents FAQ If your activity was complex, waiting until mid-to-late March to file cuts the odds of needing to amend later.

Importing Your 1099 Into TurboTax or H&R Block

Major tax software can pull your Robinhood data electronically, which is faster and less error-prone than typing everything in. The import does not use your Robinhood login. You’ll need two numbers from the cover page of your Consolidated 1099 PDF:

  • Master account number: a 9-digit number at the top right of the cover page.
  • Document ID: an 11-digit alphanumeric ID, also at the top right of the cover page. Enter it without spaces.

In your tax software, go to the investment income or brokerage section, choose Robinhood Markets as the financial institution, and enter those two numbers.8Robinhood. How to Import Your 1099 to a Tax Provider Once the data comes through, compare the imported totals against the PDF to make sure nothing was dropped.

When the Import Won’t Work

A few situations still call for manual entry. Section 1256 contract information, common with futures and certain options, doesn’t automatically transfer into TurboTax or H&R Block, so you’ll need to type it in yourself.8Robinhood. If you have more than 10,000 total transactions or more than 4,000 uncovered transactions, the import may fail, and you’ll need to contact your tax software provider.

If your software doesn’t support Robinhood imports at all, you can enter totals for capital gains, dividends, and interest by hand, working straight from the PDF.

What to Do If Robinhood Sends a Corrected 1099

A corrected 1099 replaces the original in your Tax Center and is labeled as corrected.2Robinhood. Tax Documents FAQ If it shows up before you file, just use the updated version. If you’ve already filed and the new numbers change what you owe, file Form 1040-X to amend.9Internal Revenue Service. A minor correction that doesn’t change your tax liability may not require an amendment. But when the IRS receives a corrected 1099 that doesn’t match what you filed, their matching system will eventually flag it and send you a notice, so amending on your own is usually the cleaner path.

If Your Forms Are Late, File an Extension

The federal filing deadline for the 2025 tax year is Wednesday, April 15, 2026.11Internal Revenue Service. IRS Opens 2026 Filing Season If your Consolidated 1099 hasn’t arrived, or you’re waiting on a correction, Form 4868 gets you an automatic six-month extension to October 15, 2026.12Internal Revenue Service. The extension buys time to file, not time to pay. If you expect to owe, estimate the amount and pay it by April 15 to avoid interest and late-payment penalties. Last year’s 1099 is usually a workable rough guide for that estimate.
